Antique F. Heinig Marsh Cast Iron Horse Shoe |
This Marsh or Mud Horseshoe made of cast iron was a
device to strap to a horse’s hoof when walking in bogs and
other soft earth areas, it allowed the animal to keep from sinking
or becoming stuck in the mud by displacing their weight over
larger area ( similar function to a snowshoe). A wonderful
sculptured piece of iron. Stand included.
Signed, numbered and dated with embossed lettering,
“F Heinig, Beaver Dam, Wis., #2, Pat. Nov. 20, 06.”
Extremely Rare and Unique Item!

English Bulldog Dog Cast Iron Doorstop |
Sitting Up English Bulldog Dog Cast Iron Doorstop.
This is an impressive, imposing oversize Antique Doorstop,
depicting a English Bulldog sitting up begging
while sitting on a raised base. Wonderful detail captured
in this casting. Quite a substantial and powerful
doorstop, weighing 14 lbs. 8 oz.
