Incredible Antique Folk Art Woven Basket. Basket is made
with maple wooden base with 20 oak spindles
woven together in eye-appealing multiple colors.
Lid to basket has a 2 7/8” diameter centered maple
wooden medallion with woven knob handle and 21
spindles woven together in multiple colors. An outstanding
piece of folk art with fantastic color, surface and patina.

Elaborately Designed Broom Straw Broom |
Antique Elaborately Designed Broom Straw Broom.
Wonderful sculptural designed broom straw with considerable
detail applied to wooden handle of broom, further adding interest
and appeal. The broom straw is weaved in wrap around wire.
Possibly Native American made, in superb condition,
fully aged patina and surface. For the discerning eye a
great decorative piece of Folk Art.
Origin: Michigan. From the shoulder of the broom, upward is about 16" of extended broom straw
that is thicker at base and tappers upward. A fine wire is interwoven with the straw
to make the geometric design on the handle.
Ca. 1910-20’s.

A pair of Naïve American Chalk Antique Plaques.
One titled “The End of the Trail” and other
“Appeal to the Great Spirit”. Showing exceptional
rich colors, done in three dimensional form.
“The End of the Trail” is a sculpture by James Earle Fraser
located in Waupun, Wisconsin, United States. It depicts a weary
Native American man hanging limp as his weary horse comes to
the edge of the Pacific Ocean. “
“Appeal to the Great Spirit”is a 1908 equestrian statue by Cyrus Dallin,
located in front of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. It portrays a Native American
on horseback facing skyward, his arms spread wide in a spiritual request to the Great Spirit.
Ca. 1920’s-30’s.
Excellent plus condition in original paint.

Tin Vintage Still Bank. Li’l Abner is telling Daisy Mae
“It Sho Pays to Save”. Also features other
characters in The Li’l Abner Comic Strip,
including Mammy Yokum, Pappy Yokum,
Lonesome Polecat, Wolf Gal and Salomey the Pet Pig.
The ever so popular comic strip ran for 43 years, 1934-1977.
Signed by the writer of Li’l Abner comic strip, “Al Capp”.
Marked, © 1953, Lee Howard, 1 Lincoln Road,
Miami Beach 39, Florida”. The bank was distributed by
“Mechanics State Bank, Member Federal Deposit
Insurance Corporation”.

Gingerbread Girl or Boy w/ Dog Applique Quilt |
Wonderful Child’s Gingerbread Girl or Boy
Applique vintage quilt with purple background.
Consists of twelve blocks with each having a
Gingerbread girl or boy with sitting puppy and
each done in different colors and patterns. The suspenders
on each child are elastic with buttons and dog’s
eyes are also done with applied buttons.
Back of quilt is done with small duckling print.
A close look shows a wonderful design with
the stitching.
8 stitches per 1”.
Ca. 1950’s. Has been stored in blanket chest since the
50’s, never washed or cleaned.
Excellent condition with a few very minor small discolorations,
but camera would not pick them up.
Twin size 84” x 62”.
