Words can hardly describe this fantastic wood carving of a life-size woodland bird, Ruffed Grouse by noted carver and Folk Art Artist Frank Finney, Cape Charles, Virginia. Exquisite detailed carving with Ruffed Grouse standing on log with dropped wings, spread tail feathers and glass eyes. Added eye appeal with bird standing in Drumming Display. Realistic paint showing barring and broad black band near end of tail. Note the detailed carving around the eyes. Superior life-like paint, surface and patina.
