Words can hardly describe this fantastic wood carving of a life-size song bird, Northern Cardinal by noted carver and Folk Art Artist Frank Finney, Cape Charles, Virginia. Exquisite detailed carving with relief wings and tail feathers and has glass eyes. Added appeal with mouth open showing its tongue. Superior life-like paint, surface and patina. Signed on top of base with a scrolled “F”. Excellent condition. 7 5/8” tall x 8” long x 2 ½” wide. Base – 5” long x 3 ½” wide.
