Phenomenal deco sculptural casting of a Stretching Cat cast iron Antique Doorstop. Structurally perfect for functionality, depicting the Cat with outward stretched legs and paws while leaning to hold open door. Three piece casting. Reference: The Doorstop Book page 108. A large impressive substantial doorstop weighing 9 lbs. 10 oz. Desirable and very difficult to find! Ca. 1930’s. Good condition in original paint. 13 ¾” tall x 4 5/8” wide.
