2 Antique Native American Chalk Plaques
A pair of Naïve American Chalk Antique Plaques. One titled “The End of the Trail” and other “Appeal to the Great Spirit”. Showing exceptional rich colors, done in three dimensional form. “The End of the Trail” is a sculpture by James Earle Fraser located in Waupun, Wisconsin, United States. It depicts a weary Native American man hanging limp as his weary horse comes to the edge of the Pacific Ocean. “ “Appeal to the Great Spirit”is a 1908 equestrian statue by Cyrus Dallin, located in front of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. It portrays a Native American on horseback facing skyward, his arms spread wide in a spiritual request to the Great Spirit. Ca. 1920’s-30’s. Excellent plus condition in original paint. 8 ½” tall x 6” wide x ¾” thick
