Wonderful charming Dolly Dimples cast iron Antique Doorstop. Dolly Dimples, also referred to as Dolly Dingle, appeared for the first time in March 1913 as a series of paper dolls and was a regular feature until April 1933. This doorstop depicts Dolly, with a big blue ribbon in her hair, holding her rag doll. Reference: The Doorstop Book page 197. Designer is Grace G. Drayton. Made by & signed Hubley, catalog number 45. A celebration of the 100th anniversary of Texas’s independence from Mexico in 1936, it also celebrated Texas and Western American culture. Reference: The Doorstop Book page 251.
