Lid to basket has a 2 7/8” diameter centered maple wooden medallion with woven knob handle and 21 spindles woven together in multiple colors. Unique pair of decorative wooden Antique Candlesticks. The upright central portions of these candle holders are turned wood, and the base and top platforms of each have bark edges. Their truly unique feature is the sconce shades, each painted with image of a woodpecker on tree branch. The shades clip onto the base of the candles for decorative display. Norwegian Cube Butter Mold
Antique wooden ware butter mold. Measures 10 1/2" T x 7 1/2" W x 7 1/2" D. The butter mold produces a large block of butter, decorated on four sides and the dome top. The corners are mortised and pegged. The design has a column at each corner and in the center of each panel. Two of the sides have diamonds on each side of the column. The other two sides have scroll designs on each side of column. The dome has scroll designs with saw-tooth decorations. Outside of mold is dated "1827" with the initials "MUD", also "G O D F". Found in Wisconsin. The butter mold is an exceptional piece with great size, surface and patina. Referenced in the book "Butter Print and Molds" by Paul Kindig page 227.
